After a little more than a year having a website; I find it is time to do some redecorating. I am all about the visual but I am slowly having to accept, that how it functions (equally) matters. I am surrendering to some of Weebly's elements so that you can navigate easier and I can spend less time on web content and more time on swimsuit design. I hope it all works with out too many glitches. And I hope you will leave a comment or email me or phone me; if you see a problem.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
May flew by and not a single post. I did go to my very first swim meet in May; in beautiful Islamorada. Two things I learned...Swimmers get up early! and... They like sparkle swimsuits. The sparkle suits really surprised me.
May found me busy designing suits for Ripfest Dive Camps. Two choices for the girls and also a male suit.
I will also be making suits for the campers to purchase at Ripfest Camps all summer long.
I will be at the Zone B meet in Moultrie, Georgia June 15th to June 19th. I will have lots of suits, new fabrics and new styles. Hope to see you there!
One last piece of news...Springboard Fashion is now on Facebook. Thanks, Michelle for your help. I will be trying to post there on a regular basis. So if you want to keep up with what I'm sewing and where my suits will be; check it out:
Are you wondering what happens if you want to order a suit in Totally Custom? Here is a step by step guide for getting the suit you want.
Take some time to look at the pictures of suits through out SPRINGBOARD FASHION. You will find ideas for your suit in Ready to Wear, Made to Order and The Styles.
Open the Totally Custom page to choose the color blocking style you want and the fabrics you would like to use. At the bottom of the page there is a contact form to fill out. Here is an example of one I filled out as a test.
Fill out and submit the form.
You will receive an email with a link to your suit. For the suit designed in the contact form above; the link would be www.springboardfashion.com/store/p147/Custom_Cameron_0001.html. You can click on the link and it will take you to a product page. Your page will be similar; showing fabric scans, the color blocking pattern you chose, back style and any other details. All that's left is to put it in your shopping cart and purchase.
If you have any special requests; put them in the comment box. If I need further information from you; you may receive an email with some questions before I can create your link. Sometimes I may send an additional link to an alternate design that you might be interested in. It's only a suggestion...it's your suit!
So busy sewing that I hardly have a moment to write! This week I am working on new team suits for North Florida Diving. I love the design they created and I can't wait to see them diving in them at Plantation Diving's AAU Red, White & Blue meet. The meet is this week end-March 7th & 8th at Plantation, Florida. I will be there with suits and fabrics and lots of ideas. It's a great opportunity to try on a suit for a perfect fit. Suits can be purchased right there or I can assist you in coming up with your very own custom suit.
Then the last week end in March; I will be sending suits to the Montgomery Dive Club's AAU Red, White & Blue meet.
Lot's of ideas whirling around in my head. Hopefully I will get them sewn up soon and on the site. As always, I am open to trying new ideas. If there is something you would like to see on Springboard Fashion; drop me an email.
Back to sewing!
Shipping out tomorrow:
* How can I order a size bigger, or smaller than what you offer in Made to Wear?
If you need to order a suit in a size 20, 34 or 36, etc.; put the size closest to yours in the
shopping cart. At check out, enter the correct size in Note to Seller.
* Can I order in-between sizes?
YES. 23, 25, 27, etc., no problem. If you are ordering Totally Custom; enter any size you want in the size box. Made to order, order closest size and add a note to seller.
* Can I order a fabric, style, size that I don't see on this site?
Send me an email... email@example.com .... The answer is almost certainly YES! I love a challenge.
A new style for SPRINGBOARD MEN WILL be available in the next few days. It's called DOUBLE PIPED. It was a collaborative design between myself and Parker from Moultrie. It's simple and classy. Perfect for a team suit and would pair well with PIPER for the girls.
Still more to follow...
My new fabrics have arrived and I have started the scanning process. It takes a bit of time to get them just right. Some colors seem to defy scanning; especially pinks and oranges. Even after all my adjusting in Photoshop; your screen may display different than mine. I am going to present three of them tonight; along with suggestions for solids to match.
